Barry Palte is a global investment expert with a primary focus on sustainable investing and achieving positive social and private investment outcomes through his private investment platform.
Barry served as Global Chairman of the International Association of Investment Bankers – recently renamed Orion International Advisors (a global network of investment banks with member firms in USA, UK, Ireland, France, Italy, Japan, India, Brazil, China and Australia).
His global relationships and partners provide access to unique investment opportunities which combine exceptional investment returns with tightly managed risk, all while focusing on delivering social outcomes explicitly mapped to sustainable development goals.
Barry has a deep passion for the health of people and our planet and all his investment projects must contribute explicitly to these goals., Barry is very much of the belief that social impact and leading investment returns are not mutually exclusive.
Since retiring from formal investment banking in March 2019, he has been focused on partnering with other investment groups globally to deliver high impact investment outcomes.

Barry’s career spans 35+ years in funds management, investment and investment banking, the last 21 years as the founder and owner of his own investment group.
His prior corporate/institutional roles included, serving on the executive committee of MLC’s Wholesale Funds Management Business, Australia’s third largest fund manager. He also served as the head of Strategy and M&A for the funds management and insurance businesses of Commonwealth Bank (Australia’s largest bank) in both Australia and Asia.
Barry has a first class honours business degree from the University of Cape Town, where he was a multiple scholarship holder, and is also a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries in London.
